In preparing the present edition of the Anatomyof Drunkenness for the press, I have spared nopains to render the work as complete as possible. Some parts have been re-written, some new factsadded, and several inaccuracies, which had creptinto the former editions, rectified. Altogether, Iam in hopes that this impression will be consideredan improvement upon its predecessors, and thatno fact of any importance has been overlookedor treated more slightly than it deserves.
