Lindley Murray, the Grammarian, and author of several excellentSchool and Reading books, in his last Will bequeathed certain fundsto Trustees in America, his native country, for several benevolentobjects, including the gratuitous distribution of "books calculated topromote piety and virtue, and the truth of Christianity."
The Trustees have had "The Power of Religion on the Mind, inRetirement, Affliction, and at the approach of Death," stereotyped, andseveral thousand copies printed and distributed.
They also publish the following Narratives compiled by A. Mott, and M.S. Wood, believing they will prove acceptable reading to our ColoredAmericans.
