One of the brightest signs of the times is that manyChristians in our Young People's Societies and churchesare observing a "Quiet Hour" daily. In this age ofrush and activity we need some special call to go apartand be alone with God for a part of each day. Any manor woman who does this faithfully and earnestly cannotbe more than twenty-four hours away from God.
The selections given in this volume were first publishedin the monthly issues of the "Record of ChristianWork," and were found very helpful for devotionalpurposes. They are also a mine of thoughts, to lightup the verses quoted. Being of permanent value, ithas been thought desirable to transfer them from thepages of the magazine to this permanent volume.
May they have a helpful ministry, leading many intocloser communion with God!
