His claim to be heard rests upon accomplishmentsstill fresh in the annals of thechase; it may, however, be of interest to recallthat he became Master of the WarwickshireHounds in 1876, availing himself ofthe services of a professional huntsman until1881, when he commenced to carry the hornhimself, and continued to do so till ill healthcaused his retirement in the autumn of 1898.
