In one of the most brilliant of modern books itsauthor[1] calls attention to the common fallacywhich assumes that “if you can find a principlewhich gives an adequate explanation of three differentfacts it is more likely to correspond with the truththan three different principles which give adequateexplanations of the same facts severally.”
